MASCOT: an ESO–ARO legacy survey of molecular gas in nearby SDSS-MaNGA galaxies – I. First data release, and global and resolved relations between H2 and stellar content

We present the first data release of MaNGA-ARO Survey CO Targets (MASCOT), an ESO Public Spectroscopic conducted at Arizona Radio Observatory (ARO). measure CO(1-0) line emission in a sample 187 nearby galaxies selected from Mapping Nearby Galaxies Apache Point (MaNGA) survey that has obtained integral field unit (IFU) spectroscopy for ~ 10,000 low redshift. The main goal MASCOT is to probe molecular gas content star-forming with stellar masses > 10^9.5 M_solar and associated MaNGA IFU observations well-constrained quantities like masses, star formation rates metallicities. In this paper we results survey, providing integrated measurements cover several effective radii galaxy luminosities, kinematics, estimated H2 masses. observe decline rate respect sequence (SFMS) increases decrease reduced efficiency, agreement other studies. Relating mass fractions slope age gradients inferred observations, find lower tend show older populations close galactic center, while opposite true higher fractions, tentative evidence inside-out quenching.
